About Vasewise

Care should feel calm,
clear and specific.

Vasewise is an independent editorial guide for people who want to keep cut flowers in better condition at home—without turning a simple vase into a science project.

01

Why Vasewise exists

Most bouquets arrive with a tiny care card and a long list of unanswered questions. Should tulips be re-trimmed? Is cloudy water always a warning? Does a wide vase make stems fall outward? Vasewise is built around those specific, everyday decisions.

Our aim is not to promise an exact vase life. It is to help you notice what is happening, choose a sensible next step and avoid common actions that make the problem worse.

02

Who the guides are for

The site is written for home flower buyers, gift recipients and anyone arranging market or garden-cut stems indoors. Instructions assume ordinary household tools and containers; when a method needs a specialist product, the guide says so clearly.

We focus on cut flowers in water. Potted plants, professional floristry mechanics and commercial cold-chain management are outside our main scope.

03

How we research

Each guide starts with a flower, symptom or care decision—not a fixed article template. We compare university extension material, botanic garden guidance, postharvest research and established horticultural references. Sources are linked near the relevant guidance or collected in an article’s reference section.

We separate broad principles from flower-specific needs. When cultivar, harvest age, transport history, room temperature or water quality can change the result, we state that limitation instead of presenting one number as universal.

04

How we write and update

A useful Vasewise article gives a direct answer early, explains what to observe and provides a practical sequence a reader can follow. We revise guides when a source changes, a recommendation needs qualification or a reader identifies an unclear step.

Corrections that affect the recommended action are made in the article itself. Minor wording and formatting changes may be made without a separate notice.

05

Editorial independence

Advertising, if displayed, supports the site but does not determine article conclusions. An advertisement is not a Vasewise endorsement. Sponsored material or affiliate relationships will be identified clearly if introduced in the future.

Photographs are selected to clarify the flower, symptom, cut or arrangement being discussed—not simply to decorate a page. Image credits and licensing information are retained where required.

06

Our boundaries

Vasewise does not provide medical, veterinary, poisoning or emergency advice. We do not publish invented tests, guaranteed vase-life claims or anonymous product endorsements.

If a person or animal may have eaten a plant, or is showing symptoms after exposure, contact an appropriate qualified professional rather than relying on a flower-care article.
